This is one of my favorite Cockrum covers. He did several covers for DC's Blackhawk revival in the 80's. This was actually a pretty good book. Written by Mark Evanier and drawn by Dan Spiegle, the revamp attempted to bring the Blackhawks back to what they were in the Golden Age. Cockrum really loved the characters and it showed in this gorgeous cover. Cockrum was arguably the best super team artist of all time along with people like George Perez and Dick Dillin.Monday, November 27, 2006
